9 more days till Surgery

So a friend asked me the other day, "When are you getting your jaw broken?"
So I told him may 17th. And then I really though about it and realized, wow that is coming up! My surgery date is literally my last day of school which is very excellent timing because I can get my surgery done and wires removed right before summer semester begins. I'm going to have to go shopping for some type of meal replacement powder over at gnc pretty soon. I've also gained about 5 lb. so hopefully that should be enough.

I've never had any type of surgery requiring general anesthesia so I'm a little bit nervous about that. Anyways I'll keep you guys posted! ciao

  3. Hi Meesh! I'm actually in the midst of deciding whether I should go with jaw surgery, the ideal treatment for my class 3 underbite as well. I also had prior orthodontic treatment when I was in gr.9 so now the idea of getting braces back on and making everything look worse is not so pleasant. I'm glad I found your blog while researching on this type of surgery haha.

Good luck with the surgery and recovery!!

    1. Hi Cindy! I'm glad i've been of help! Surgery is a huge decision but what made me decide to go with the surgery is that I wanted to get it done while I'm still young and don't have to worry about living expenses and I didn't want to regret 10 years from now that I should've done it earlier.. I hope my insight helps a little!

Yea you'll look worse for a year, but I like to think that you'll have a beautiful smile for the rest of your life!
